Myra

Treatment Coordinator / Office Manager

I have worked in the orthodontic field since 1990. I joined Dr. Jernigan’s team after experiencing the exceptional care that Dr. J provided my son. The best part of my job is seeing beautiful smiles created and knowing the value of this one simple change and the positive impact it can have for a lifetime.

My husband, Sam, and I were high school sweethearts. We are blessed with 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle

Laboratory Coordinator / 3-D Imaging

I have been involved in orthodontics for over 25 years. I began my career shortly after attending college in North Carolina, where I grew up. I have been with Dr. Jernigan’s team since 2010 after relocating with my family from Chicago. Outside the office I enjoy golf and spending time with my family. I love watching the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks play!

Alex

Financial Coordinator

I have been with Dr. J’s staff since June of 2012. I graduated from Columbia College with a major in Accounting. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brandon, and our family and friends. I love Jernigan Orthodontics because of the genuine compassion and joy our whole staff has for creating beautiful smiles!

Administrative Team

I have worked in healthcare since 2014. I joined the Jernigan team in October of 2020. I love working with such an amazing staff and wonderful patients. In my free time, I enjoy reading, drawing, and spending time with friends and family.

Brittany

Treatment Coordinator

I have worked in health care since 2012 and was blessed to join the J-Team in March of 2020. I love getting to know our sweet patients and their families and watching their confidence soar through their beautiful smiles. In my free time, you can find me with my family, playing with my pup Rooster, on the lake, or anywhere outdoors.

Kayla

Clinic Coordinator

I was born and raised in the South. I graduated from Dental Assisting School in 2015. I have been employed with Dr. J since May of 2016. The thing I enjoy most about working here is meeting new people. Outside of work, I enjoy riding at ATV mud parks, going to the lake, hunting, and spending time with my family.

Orthodontic Assistant

My career in orthodontics began in February of 2017. I have been so blessed to be welcomed into this work family. I love working for Dr. Jernigan and being part of the “J-Team.” In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, Toby, family and friends, riding horses and being active at Village Church in Blythewood.

Orthodontic Assistant

After completing dental assisting school, I joined the Jernigan team in July of 2017. I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, Banks. I love orthodontics and being part of creating beautiful smiles.

New Patient Concierge

I have worked in health care since 2003 in pediatrics and women’s health. In 2019 I joined Jernigan Orthodontics. The best part about working here is seeing the amazing transformations in our patients’ smiles! I love spending time at the beach or the lake with my husband, Robby, and our four children, Bailey, Hunter, Bryson, and Avery.

Orthodontic Assistant

I joined the J-Team in November of 2021. I was very blessed to complete an internship with Jernigan Orthodontics while in school. During that short period of time, I was shown how phenomenal the doctor and staff were, which made me want to be part of the team. In my spare time, I enjoy going to escape rooms and reading!

Orthodontic Assistant

I completed dental assisting school in 2024 where I found my love for orthodontics. I started out as an intern at Jernigan Orthodontics and knew this was a special team. The icing on the cake is I also get to work with my childhood best friend! I enjoy spending time with friends and my corgi, Astro, as well as ATV riding.

Orthodontic Assistant

My love for orthodontics came from Dr. Jernigan himself! Dr. J was my orthodontist and I enjoyed my experience so much I knew I wanted to work in ortho, so I attended dental assisting school, graduating in 2024. In my free time I love spending time with family, friends and fur babies. I also enjoy reading, watching TV and movies, and traveling.

Treatment Coordinator

After completing dental assisting school, I joined Jernigan Orthodontics as an Orthodontic Assistant and more recently as a Treatment Coordinator. I love being a part of Dr. Jernigan’s team, and I truly enjoy helping with planning treatment and being part of each patient’s journey toward a confident, healthy smile. I grew up in Blythewood, SC, and I am blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart as we raise our family together. I love spending time with them—whether we’re playing sports, enjoying the outdoors, or out on the water.

Camryn

Orthodontic Assistant

I was born and raised in Camden, SC, and proud to call it home. I joined Jernigan Orthodontics as an intern in November 2025 and officially became an orthodontic assistant in January 2026. I love seeing a patient’s smile transform throughout treatment. It’s amazing to watch their confidence grow and to celebrate the final, beautiful result with them. Outside the office, I enjoy staying active through sports, hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
